Norman Solomon is a journalist, author, media critic, antiwar activist, and in 2012 was a candidate for the United States House of Representatives from California's second congressional district. His most recent book is Made Love, Got War: Close Encounters with America's Warfare State. He recently wrote a feature story in The Nation about the Obama Administration's war on whistle blowers, specifically the case of the Wall Street Journal's James Risen, who is being threatened with imprisonment if he doesn't reveal his sources.

A former Obama delegate, Solomon has since become a critic of the president. Is Obama similar to George W. Bush in terms of policy and decision-making? How has media failed, and how can it change? Jimmy Dore discusses all this and more with author and activist, Norman Solomon.
